Yesterday I presented the opportunity to my team to be the speaker at an online academy for our clients. To my surprise, no one volunteered to be the speaker.
When I asked them about the reason that held them back they said:
What if I get questions that I’m unable to answer or that I don’t understand?
What if I lose the thread and forget what to say?
What if there are tech issues?
Right, what if???

Your brain is constantly asking itself 3 questions as it interpreting its surroundings:
Am I SAFE?
Am I LOVED?
What can I LEARN?
In order to have access to the learning part of your brain, where creative thinking lives, you first need to feel both physically and socially safe.
Your main task in life is to feel good. When you are in a good place it’s easy for others to be around you, it’s easy for you to be around others and it’s easy for you to be around you.
When you feel good, ideas come easily to you. You feel inspired to take action. You see the fun in new activities. You dare to push boundaries. Your buffer is filled up and you have energy to take on challenges.
You feel good by focusing on what's wanted. Focusing on where you WANT TO GO, what you WANT TO CREATE and what you CAN DO with what you have right now to move in that direction.
Closing the gap between where you are and where you want to go is the only thing that brings satisfaction long term.
Keep it small, keep it light and playful.

SUCCESS STARTS WITH MANAGING YOUR MIND
Your THOUGHTS generate your FEELINGS which drive your ACTIONS which create your RESULT.
So if you don’t like the RESULT you produce, you first need to understand what THOUGHTS that creates it.
It’s called the Model of life:
Circumstance - always neutral
Thought - gives our circumstances a positive or negative meaning
Feeling - generated by our thoughts about our circumstance
Actions - driven by our emotions
Results - created from our actions or non actions
MOTIVATIONAL TRIAD - OUT OF DATE
Our brains top 3 priorities:
Avoid pain
Seek pleasure
Conserve energy
Used to help us survive but are today preventing us from thriving.
It's no longer enough to live a life by default if you would like to have an above average life.
FROM PERFORMANCE PLAN TO TOP PERFORMER
I used to believe, as many people do, that there could only be one winner. A belief that was constantly conditioned when I was competing in boxing.
As I embarked on the journey as a CSM, I myself reinforced this belief. Making me a terrible salesperson, as my main focus was on what my clients could do for me.
When we come from a SCARCITY MINDSET, thinking that IF YOU HAVE MORE THEN I WILL HAVE LESS, we spend energy trying to protect what we have.
What I realised and what made my career switch from being on a performance plan to becoming a STEADY TOP PERFORMER, is that the opposite is true.
Good vs Bad Habits
When we talk about change, we really talk about removing old habits and replacing them with new better ones. If you think through what habits you perform on a regular basis I’m sure you pretty quickly can divide them in good vs bad habits. More or less all behaviour processes multiple outcomes across times:
