SCARCITY VS ABUNDANCE

SCARCITY - Feeling of lack.

  • Thinking it’s NOT ENOUGH

  • Finite resources

  • Focus on the unwanted

ABUNDANCE - The knowing that more can be created.

  • Resourceful with what you have

  • Infinite possibilities

  • Focus on wanted

When you are in a scarcity mindset, your fight and flight kicks in. As when emotions are high intelligence gets low and now you see no other possibilities forward. Very black and white thinking. I'm either in a job that I hate or unemployed. I'm either with this person I don't like or I'm single for the rest of my life.

You recognise it by your super dramatic thinking.

VS

When you are in an abundance mindset. You feel confident and relaxed. You have access to the creative part of the brain. You are clear headed and see opportunities everywhere. This is not the ideal situation but there are things that I can do to move the situation forward. I'll give those things my full attention.

Abundance mind is the most powerful mind to practise. You do this by focusing on what you have today that you appreciate and what you want to create moving forward.

Anything that brings a good feeling in your body contributes to exercising an abundant mind.

For me this sounds like:

  • I get to do what I love

  • I bring value to everyone I meet

  • I’m my best when I am me

  • I love new experiences

  • I know that there is value in ever experience: positive & negative

  • What I do matters

  • I matter

  • I appreciate me
